I have a question. The marble which starts at the high end of the roller coaster travels downward and out of the bottom end of the roller coaster. But at certain points of its travel, the marble can actually go uphill. Why doesn't the marble stop as soon as it reaches the point where it would be going uphill?
The marble doesn't stop as soon as it reaches the point where it would be going uphill because the marble has enough momentum to go up hill. It got the momentum from gravity pulling the marble down the hill. from Mrs. McLaughlin's class
