Parachutes

In Science we made parachutes out of napkins, string, paper clips, and tape.  We took them outside and experimented with them.

Here are some of our thoughts about parachutes:

• It floats down.
• The air makes the parachute go down.
• Air pushes on our parachutes all around.
• If the force upwards was stronger than the gravity pulling down then it would float up.
• I can change the volume of air with pressure.
• Matter is everything and air is matter.
• The air pushes all the way.

Spinners, Tops, and Roller Coasters

Valentine's Day

We were making Valentine fishes for people.  

We were writing words.

We were putting candy in people's Valentine bags.

We wrote Valentine  notes to people.

We felt happy when we made our Valentines.

Everybody was making different things for Valentine's Day.

Some people were passing out candy.

We got candy and Valentine cards.
